The last years of research have brought new solutions in the treatment of asthma. It was discovered, among other things, the compounds that affect transcription factors regulating the conduct of the process of transcription. One of them is the GATA3, which play a key role in the differentiation of cells Th2. Subsequent medicines that are new in the therapy of asthma are inhibitors of STAT6-they govern proinflammatory action cytokines IL-4 and IL-13. In the course of research remains PPAR-γ agonist, which reduces the bronchial hyperfeactivity eosinophilia, production of cytokine and GATA3 expression. Another drug is trying to develop a vaccine containing CpG DNA conjugate-allergen. Such a set in the first test there decreases the IL-4 in eosinophils. Another group tested preparations a kinase. One of them is SYK kinase. Its antagonists have the ability to block the activation of the mastocytes and basophills. The next test is p38MAP kinase inhibitors, which reduce the trigger proinflammatory factors .In the course of studies are also medicines modulating activity of lymphocytes Treg, which show a safeguard action against the influx of eosinophils to lung tissue. Take the next phase of research with a cytokines: IL-4, IL-5, IL-9, IL-13 and IL-17 directly influencing the process the inflammatory cells.

Trying to implement certain preparations failed. For example, the introduction of inhibitors cytokines CCR3 had to be aborted due to their toxic effects. Other drugs did not produce the desired effect-they were part of the antibody or protein antagonists ADAM33 and interferons. Despite best efforts cannot replace existing therapies based on glucocorticosteroids.
