The elderly population is growing rapidly all over the world. Asthma seems to bee a common disease among older persons unfortunately the prevalence of this disease in elderly patients is difficult to estimate. There are two distinct clinical presentations of asthma in the elderly. The first group includes patients with a long-standing asthma, and the second group includes patients, in whom the symptoms occured late in their life-time, above the age of 65. Non the less asthma onset over 75 years of age is a very rare condition. The clinical presentation of asthma may differ in the elderly, due to structural and functional changes in the senescent lung. Comorbidities and multi drug therapy are not rare among elderly patients and they may contribute to worsening of clinical state, diagnosing difficulties and treatment of asthma.

We present a case of 85-year old woman with atherosclerosis, hypertension, coronary artery disease and heart failure receiving both β-blocker and angiotensin coverting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi)  therapy who has developed late onset asthma.
