Plant food allergy – the growing problem of modern allergology (part I)

The growing frequency of the allergic diseases also concerns the allergic hypersensitivity to foods. Despite of permanent progress in propter for understanding of phenomena of hypersensitivity for improvement in diagnostic and therapeutic methods the food allergy is controversy. For among all food allergies most “mysterious” is plant food allergy. It depends from distributing a numerous of plant’s allergens in diets, with difficulties in the identification of allergic foods, with existence of cross reactions and contact allergy to plant food and with unknown of frequency of allergy to plant food what is the result of lack examinations evaluating this frequency on the basis of the double-blind, placebo-controlled food challenge (DBPCFC). There is also important, that it isn’t know how the climate change impacts on the frequency of plant food allergy and food allergenicity.
This article is an attempt at approximation of problems connected with plant food allergy based on topical knowledge.
